North Rhine-Westphalia is home to the largest number of US companies in Germany. NRW is evolving behind Berlin but ahead of Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg into the home of numerous start-up companies, especially in the field of digitalization. The successful establishment of digital hubs, supported by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, in Aachen, Bonn, Düsseldorf and Cologne is proof of this.
