We are extremely happy to announce that Amerikahaus NRW e.V. has become a certified EducationUSA center. We now offer free virtual assistance to all interested students and their parents regarding study and research opportunities in the U.S.

What is EducationUSA?

EducationUSA is a global network of more than 430 advising centers supported by the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. EducationUSA centers actively promote U.S. higher education around the world by offering accurate, comprehensive, and current information about educational institutions in the United States and guidance to qualified individuals on how best to access those opportunities.

Writing a College Application Essay - Success Story from Harry Akrofi-Mantey

During the application process to US universities, Harry worked hard on preparing the required documents and soon passed the standardized tests. What he struggled with was writing an application essay. He thus got in touch with the EducationUSA adviser at AmerikaHaus NRW, who supported him by offering general tips on essay writing, explaining what universites are looking for and finally by proofreading his draft. Harry submitted applications to several schools and received offers from three of them. In the end, he opted for the PhD Program in Chemistry at the University of Kentucky. Harry received a full tuition scholarship and a stipend as a teaching and research assistant.

The AmerikaHaus NRW wishes him all the best for his PhD studies and future endeavors!
