ACHT BRÜCKEN | Music for Cologne
„If the American song does need an evangelic, no one is more suitable than Thomas Hampson.” One will have to agree with the “Chicago Tribune” journalist: Hampson may be a celebrated operatic baritone, an expert on Mahler and all around one of the most important performers of the German romantic song. His greatest passion though, is considered to be American songs. For three days he will be promoting his passion – within the framework of a piano-song evening (May 2) and a master’s course the academy of music (May 1) and finally in concert with Munich’s philharmonic orchestra.Thomas Hampson Baritone
