The Amerika Haus e.V. NRW welcomes US Congressional Senior Staff Members to Cologne

The Senior Staff Members of the US Congress serve as advisors to the American Congressional delegates and plan their meetings and appointments. In this respect, they have a strong influence on American politics.

On March 31 and April 1, 2010, the Amerika Haus e.V. NRW, as a Partner of the Congressional Study Group on Germany, will welcome a group of Senior Staff Members of the US Congress to Cologne who will be arriving from Berlin after meetings with high-ranking German politicians.

The Congressional Study Group on Germany is the international Flagship Program of the U.S. Association of Former Members of Congress (FMC). They regularly bring together German and American dignitaries either through round table discussions, annual seminars, study trips or similiar events in Washington D.C. or Germany. In this manner, the responsibles
for German and American politics are allowed to discuss and exchange ideas on topics that are important to both sides.

During their stay in Cologne, they will participate in a discussion on the topic of integration, Euro and NRW before the election with representatives from the business and economic sector as well as journalists from around the region. Their visit will conclude with a trip to the Adenauer-Haus in Bad Honnef.
