»Piano Girl«

In the Old Market Hall of picturesque Monschau, the American author/ pianist Robin Meloy Goldsby along with the German actress Heike Bänsch presented excerpts from Goldsby's first Novel Piano Girl.

After a warm welcoming of Alexander Lenders, community representative of the city of Monschau, started the show, which provided a rare glimpse into the comedies, tragedies, and mundane miracles witnessed from the player’s side of the grand piano.

The lecture was held in English and German consecutively. In between the chapters, Robin Meloy Goldsby performed on the piano or musically accompanied the parts of her German voice, Heike Bänsch.

After the matinee, a positive and relaxed atmosphere prevailed among the guests. Robin Meloy Goldsby found the perfect mixture of both serious and entertaining parts of her book. The audience also apreciated the switching from English to German and was very moved by Goldsby's piano playing.

The Matinee ended with a reception and some snacks. The audience used the opportunity to talk to the artists personally and Goldsby's little bookstand was swarmed by people who wished to have their freshly purchased books and CD's signed.
