"What is the Future of NATO?"
Karen Donfried, deputy director of the German Marshall Fund, discussed with 75 students of the International School in Neuss the future of NATO. The 8 and 10 graders were well-prepared and welcomed the expert on security and foreign affairs with a flood of questions. Most of all, points of interest were issues such as the Afghanistan intervention and the NATO’s chances to establish stability and peace in the long run. The students also took the opportunity to ask the US-American about Guantanamo. They were thrilled to receive first-hand information on the USA in general and transatlantic issues. Amerika Haus NRW@school – supports the German-American dialog between younger generations, politically, economically, as well as culturally. Upcoming event: Students at Gymnasium Kreuzgasse discusses with musician and author Robin Meloy Goldsby.
