»Israel Today. An Account from the German Ambassador«

The Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Israel, Dr. Dr. h.c. Harald Kindermann, talks about a country torn between thousands of years of tradition and western modernism; between religious fanaticism and secularization and finally between omnipresent war and the desire for peace. Although the conflict in the Middle East hast lasted for more than 60 years now, there is still a need for discussion of the interwoven and complicated backgrounds of this conflict.

Dr. Werner Hoyer, Member of German Parliament, moderated the q&a session. He is member of the Council on Foreign Relations of the German Bundestag and known for his involvement in international politics, with special empghasis on Europe, the U.S. and the Middle East.
